YOU'RE ALSO A DOUBLE BY PROFESSION

If someone had told me as a child—I, who hated math with all my heart—that years later I’d end up working as a professional accountant… without ever having set foot in college to study that field… I would have thought it was a bad joke.

However… after a deep journey of self-discovery, what at first seemed like an irony of fate turned out to be an absolutely perfect and coherent roadmap.

Everything happens for a reason.

Invisible loyalty… the echo of our ancestors.

From the perspective of Family Constellations, nothing in our family system is random… much less our profession. Being an ancestor’s “double” isn’t just about sharing a birthday… it means there’s a deep soulful resonance… we inherit their patterns, their unfinished business, and, often, an unconscious loyalty to them.

My aunt was an accountant by profession… by ending up doing exactly the same thing as her, my soul is operating under what Bert Hellinger called “blind love.” We repeat professions in the family tree as a way of belonging, of honoring those who came before us, and… above all… as an attempt at REPARATION.

Accounting isn’t just about numbers… it’s about balancing the books, finding the equilibrium between “debit” and “credit.” On a systemic level, the family accountant is the one who comes to bring order to the clan’s imbalances, to settle debts—which may be financial, but are almost always emotional or karmic—and to ensure that there is justice in the system. Without realizing it… my soul was saying: I see what you saw; I balance the books for you and for our lineage.

Why does life corner us right in the very corner we’ve been trying so hard to avoid? Because life is the best of teachers and won’t let us leave parts of ourselves unintegrated. What we reject subjugates us. That aversion to math used to be a rejection of the energy of structure, the earth, rigidity, or extreme order. But the universe, in its infinite wisdom, places us in front of that great mirror so we can reclaim our power. 🫶♾️🔣
